Tap…tap…tap
I heard through the wall.
Was it a shoe?
Was it a knock?
Was it someone or something?
It was the dead of the night.
Here I am lying in the dark.
Sensations and senses heightened.
In the silence of this night, I listened, waited.
Embers of warmth filled me.
I was literally breathless,
I was sweating, moaning, about to pass out.
Tap…tap…tap…tap.
Moaning louder I screamed.
suffocated and claimed by The Dark One
Only to realize, it was me tapping the door in front of me.
The door was shut tight.
I was buried alive.
